If you love the game of golf why not live in a community with a high-quality course? The Highlands at Dove Mountain is home to an 18-hole championship course designed by renowned golf architect Arthur Hills. Each hole provides a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain ranges, city of Tucson or the Marana valley.
In October 2019, Ken Kavanaugh Golf Course Design was brought in to lead a tremendous renovation project that was completed on greens, bunkers, tees, practice areas, and desert landscape around the course. The 4-month construction process included resurfacing all 18 putting greens a complete rebuild of the practice putting green, redesign of all the bunkers, lining all bunkers with the Better Billy lining system, course sight lines and other improvements throughout the course. The renovation enhanced the playability and aesthetics of the course.
The course provides challenge and diversity as the front nine is flat while the back nine offers various elevations, rolling topography and some strategically placed bunkers.
Six sets of tees afford all handicaps the proper challenge. Our course is very friendly for higher handicaps with forward tees that require desert carry on only a couple of holes. Sharpen your game at our practice putting green, driving range and short game practice area.
Becoming a member of our golfing community is easy. We offer organized play leagues for men, women, or couples. Both 18-hole and 9-hole groups are available. Any way you look at it The Highlands at Dove Mountain golf course presents a great way to meet new golfing friends. Our annual membership does not require an equity investment, just commit to an annual fee, and pay by the month. If you are an infrequent player, purchase a 25 round play card, or just pay by the round at extremely reasonable resident rates.
The Highlands at Dove Mountain also has a Golf Shop carrying top manufacturers equipment and apparel, a professional staff, and PGA Professionals for instruction.
Most residents own a personal golf car, which can be used on the course and throughout the community as an extra vehicle. Leased cars are available for daily play.
We welcome you to compare our course conditions to other active adult communities in the area. We know you will be pleasantly surprised. This important community owned asset is maintained with the utmost care by our staff. We utilize reclaimed water and in 2012 replaced much of the irrigation system for highest watering efficiency.
