Tucson enjoys more sunshine than most cities in the United States – 85% sunshine . Our mild temperatures during the spring, fall and winter are legendary. Temperatures rise in the summer, but low humidity – and our 2,700 feet of elevation – keep even the warmest days comfortable, especially in the morning and evenings.

There are approximately twenty different floor plans in styles that range from 1,100 square feet to 2,600 square feet. Prices currently range from about $350,000 to $600,000. Most of the floor plans feature open and spacious rooms with high ceilings designed to fit the relaxed style of southwestern life. All the homes in the community are single story stucco construction with tile roofs, two or three bedrooms and two or three car garages.

Yes. Our 18-hole golf course, designed by Arthur Hills and wrapped around the community, is a lush green contrast to the surrounding Sonoran Desert with incomparable views of five mountain ranges. Because of our seven tee boxes, you’ll enjoy playing here whether you’re a scratch golfer or a beginner. We also have a complete practice facility which includes a putting green, driving range and short-game practice area. Course renovations and a new practice putting green were completed in 2019 to enhance the quality of the golf course and golfing experience.

There are several men’s, women’s, and couples 18-hole organized groups, plus men’s and women’s 9-hole groups that allow a variety of opportunities and events to participate in on a regular basis. Our staff of PGA Professionals will assist you with tee times and lessons.

We have three lighted tennis courts. Our courts are made of artificial NovaPro grass that makes playing easy on your legs and back. If you join the Tennis Association, we will schedule matches for you. Organized play is Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings.

We also have eight pickleball courts to accommodate this fast-growing adult community sport. Our Pickleball Association already boasts over three hundred members. Organized and open play times are both available.

And speaking of things to do, one of the largest clubs within the community is the Hiking Club. A home at The Highlands at Dove Mountain provides proximity to excellent hiking opportunities. Whether you are an experienced hiker or a beginner, you will find hikes and people to hike with in our Hiking Club. And just steps from your home, Wild Burro Canyon awaits you with over 30 miles of hiking trails, and more being developed. There are also walking trails up and down Dove Mountain Boulevard. The Highlands Hiking Club has over three hundred members and offers 35-40 hikes each month during the primary hiking season.

Just steps outside the Fitness Center we have a beautiful, large outdoor heated pool with a separate hot tub. Our chlorine generating system uses pool salt to sanitize the water, creating a healthier environment that is softer on your skin.

We are a gated, (but very welcoming) community. Our main gate is staffed 24/7 by professional staff. The north and south gates are RFID sticker operated and used by residents for easy and convenient access.

There has never been a special assessment at The Highlands at Dove Mountain due to a budget shortfall. There was a single assessment since the community opened in 1997– which residents approved by ballot – to fund a renovation project in 2007 / 2008 to improve our clubhouse and fitness center. That assessment came to $1,850 per household, paid mostly in monthly installments.

There is a Dove Mountain Health Care Center and a Marana Health Care Urgent Care facility just two miles from the community

The community is divided up into manageable “block” areas to provide communications between neighbors. Each area has a designated Block Watch Captain and Alternate Captain. They coordinate with the HOA office and support up-to-date resident information. They communicate ongoing safety and security information to their “block”. They are aware when neighbors leave for extended periods of time and are observant of neighbors’ homes in their absence. They keep out-of-town contact information in case of emergency.
